It must be love

The lady of my dreams, finally became real, walking in my very own modest little rented dwelling. I welcome Mrs Vivacious Upshaw.

Her visit to my happy little Babbage life prompted an unforeseen and somewhat lengthy bout of womanly expenditure, but I hope you'll agree that she's selected her appearance and apparel with both style and grace. Not a bad show for a 1 day old avatar!

Murders in Babbage

Journal it must be clear to you that I'm no sleuth, but I felt I should attempt what little I can to aid in the search for the dastardly ner-do-wells. I came across this suspicious collection of items in the Bell tower near the location of the murders.

Ms Chernov was in the vicinity so I brought it to her attention, but she indicated she felt it was unlikely to be connected with the murders.

Here's a snap of the items in question and some reference shots to establish their location:

Here you'll see a a pipe and knife amongst other things (note all of the recent murders were knifings!).

There was also a goblet of what appeared to be wine, on the same ledge.

And finally here's a snap from underneath the bell itself. Notice the ladder which provides easy access to the suspicious items.

Some Dramatic Photography

Dear Journal, the personal presentation transformation seems to have been successful. So inspired was I by my new physique, facial features, hair and clothes, I felt the need to record the moment for posterity.

I thought a dramatic photograph would be appropriate so here we are :

A new lamp

Dear Journal,

What an amazing evening.

Whilst wondering in the vicinity of my little house, in an effort to establish that my Fair Organ was audible locally but not in neighbours houses, I happened to meet Miss Ani Kitsune chatting with a young man whose name escapes me.

After a few minutes of light conversation Miss Kitsune handed around a smokeable herbal remedy and a marvelous evening ensued.

We retired to the loft of Miss Kitsune's Bakery for more herbs, chat and a mind expanding lesson for me in building.

After exhibiting my own sad attempt at a lamp Miss Kitsune embarked upon the deft construction of a most beautifully crafted lamp. She patiently explained some of the steps which were beyond the imagining of a novice like myself. We took the resulting lamp to view it in the situation of my humble abode.

It goes without saying that the new Lamp is the perfect addition to my modest dwelling. It was my pleasure to demonstrate my Fair Organ to Miss Kitsune and I flatter myself to say she seemed to quite like it.

Clearly the plain appearance of my home touched Miss Kitsune, as she went on to generously gift me a prodigious set of textures, scripts and other paraphinalia of the upmost quality to 'get me started' on my foray into the world of building.

Tonight was certainly an amazing evening that I shall remember for a long time to come. Hopefully the begining of a friendship and certainly a step forward to the awakening of my building skills.

Good night Journal.

A new place to live

Dear Journal,

Yesterday I made a down-payment on a small house in the Canal District of New Babbage. I can not overstate the relief I am experiencing at having finally, after many restless wondering months, secured myself a place to call home. It is certainly a modest dwelling, but one I shall be proud to settle into and make my own.

The strange mix of excitement and contentment I felt when moving in precluded immediate sleep. I found myself at work manifesting the Fair Organ for which I have been gathering media over a period of many weeks. It is a modest undertaking, much as is the property within which I now quarter, but one I feel may hold the seed of a future an independent livelihood. Oh how I long to be free of the gracious but entrapping patronage of my other life self.

Finally I should mention a neighbour who's cross-wise adjacent house is already bedecked with some of the most beautiful photographs. I hope soon to meet Miss Natacha Chernov the tenant of the property and creator of said imagery. I hesitate to say that if the photographs of her that I have seen thus far are faithful representations, then I await with great anticipation the opportunity to meet such a marvellous example of the female species.

Good night Journal.
